1. Purpose
To ensure all XavSafety training, whether online or in-person, is delivered safely, responsibly, and in compliance with UK Health & Safety standards.
2. Scope
This applies to:

Online courses

In-person sessions for schools, families, or professionals

Workshops delivered in hired venues
3. Our Commitments
XavSafety will:

Assess risks before each in-person session

Keep environments safe, clean, and appropriate for minors and adults

Ensure all activities are age-appropriate and non-hazardous

Provide clear instructions to participants

Maintain emergency procedures for in-person training
-
Comply with venue safety rules and safeguarding guidelines
4. Trainer Responsibilities
XavSafety trainers must:

Hold appropriate safeguarding training

Monitor participants for safety and well-being
-
Stop an activity immediately if it becomes unsafe

Report any incident or near-miss to the director
-
Ensure equipment (if any) is safe and appropriate
5. Participant Responsibilities
Participants agree to:

Follow instructions at all times
-
Behave safely towards others
-
Inform the trainer of any medical or accessibility needs
-
Report hazards immediately
Parents and guardians remain responsible for minors during family workshops unless stated otherwise.
6. Incident Procedure
In case of an incident:

Stop the activity
-
Ensure safety
-
Provide assistance
-
Record the incident
-
Inform the responsible party (school, parent, venue manager)

Review and improve safety measures
7. Review
This policy is reviewed annually or after any significant incident.
